It made headlines in The Sun! Ahmet Hakan's take on 'butt lifts': 'Are they supposed to check their tonsils?'

The Sun, one of Britain's most famous newspapers, called for an investigation into Turkish doctors traveling from Turkey to Britain in a section of its editorial yesterday. 

In today's editorial, the newspaper wrote, "It is terrifying that cowboy Turkish surgeons are luring often vulnerable British women into potentially lethal cosmetic operations at hotel 'promotions' in the UK."

"I SWEAR THE EMPHASIS ON 'BLOWING' IS FABRICATED, BUT I CAN'T PROVE IT"

Ahmet Hakan shared his views on the news in his column today:

“Turkey is making a remarkable breakthrough in health tourism. A British journalist, uncomfortable with this progress, has produced a report smearing Turkey. The claim is that Turkish health professionals are forcing British people to sign up for aesthetic surgeries at promotional events they organize in hotels in England. Forcing them? How so? How could they possibly be forcing them? Are they holding guns to their heads? The story also involves the hidden camera tactic we abandoned in the 90s. A female journalist, claiming she wanted to have a butt lift surgery, recorded her meeting with a Turkish doctor in a hotel room on a hidden camera. The doctor allegedly pulled down the woman's pants and touched her buttocks without permission. I swear that the emphasis on 'without permission' and 'suddenly' is fabricated, but I cannot prove it. Besides, what did they expect? Are they supposed to check the tonsils of someone meeting with a doctor for a butt lift surgery?”
