It was the oldest facility in Olympos: Kadir's Tree Houses burned down
Kadir's Tree Houses, which has been serving for over 30 years in Olympos, Kumluca, Antalya, and was the region's first tourism facility, was reduced to ashes in a fire that broke out last night.
The facility known as "Kadir's Tree Houses," owned by Kadir Kaya in the Olympos area of Antalya's Kumluca district, has been rendered unusable following a fire.
Popular within the international backpacking community, Kadir's Tree Houses was established 31 years ago.
The fire broke out late last night for reasons yet unknown at the facility, which consisted of 100 bungalows, 10 cabins, and 4 rooms.
THERE WAS A FIRE LAST YEAR AS WELL
The facility owned by Kadir Kaya had previously experienced a fire and a flood disaster.
The burning of the facility, which had become a symbol of tourism in Antalya and held numerous awards, has caused great sadness.
The first fire at Kadir's Tree Houses occurred on February 8, 2007. At that time, 90 percent of the facility had burned down. Kadir's Tree Houses was subsequently rebuilt.
Having burned down once before, Kadir's Tree Houses has thus experienced its second disaster.
