İYİ Party's Akalın: Resignations should not be read independently of the photo at the palace

İYİ Party's Akalın: Resignations should not be read independently of the photo at the palace

While the resignations in the İYİ Party maintain their place on the agenda, the statements coming from within the party are not very effective in changing the process.

The latest statement regarding the resignations came from İYİ Party's Akalın.

İYİ Party founders' board member Mehmet Tolga Akalın, who stated regarding the resignations that "The İYİ Party is being made the subject of a systematic political liquidation process," expressed in his post that the resignations in the party could not have happened without the knowledge of Founding Chairwoman Meral Akşener, adding, "These resignations should undoubtedly not be read independently of the famous photo at the palace."

Akalın used the following expressions in his post:

TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PRESS AND THE PUBLIC

Regarding the resignation processes in the İYİ Party;

The İYİ Party is being made the subject of a systematic political liquidation process.

Namely; despite there being no election atmosphere in Turkey, no fracture in the traditional lines of the parties, and the public not feeling the need for a new political party, the systematic resignations that have occurred show that there is someone blowing the whistle for this pinwheel spinning in windless weather.

Considering both the processes by which the individuals with the title of MP who resigned became parliamentary candidates and their political careers, it is contrary to the nature of politics and the flow of life for these resignations to have taken place without the knowledge of the former chairwoman.

These resignations should undoubtedly not be read independently of the famous photo at the palace. Some current and future weaklings, who are unaware of concepts such as voter loyalty, party affiliation, and political honor, may of course feel the need to pay the additional price for having become MPs.

However, the İYİ Party, which was founded as a result of one of the most magnificent political struggles in Turkish political history, is not a climbing wall for these weaklings, nor is it a place for incompetent politicians to prove themselves to Beştepe, and it should not be allowed to be so.

These people with such ambitions and the weaklings with the title of MP who are waiting for instructions should be left immediately where they belong, at the door of the palace, along with all those who incited them. Thus, the İYİ Party will be able to emerge from the vortex it has been dragged into for about a year and a half and begin its struggle process and march to power, in accordance with the ideal of building a nationalist-democrat and developmentalist Turkey that fits its founding settings.
