İYİ Party Chair Candidate Koray Aydın meets with delegates: 'All our fellow party members who have withdrawn...'

İYİ Party Group Chair and Chair Candidate Koray Aydın held a meeting with delegates in Beşiktaş, Istanbul.

Stating that they will transform the party into a centrist party, Aydın said, "You will see that within 1.5 months, it won't take long, we will bring together all our fellow party members who have remained on the outside, left in resentment, or stepped aside, by growing even more within the structure of this party," he said.

HE DREW ATTENTION TO YOUTH BRANCHES

Explaining that a new restructuring is needed for the revival of the party, Aydın shared his views: "During the initial founding period, in the early existence of the youth branches, you couldn't even enter the building because of the crowds. Now, the youth branches have disappeared. The party's women's movement is not just about making women work within their own areas. We need women whom we will bring to the forefront, put in the spotlight, and assign tasks in all areas for the growth of the party. Currently, we have 4 female members of parliament, and the rest are all men. We are also the party with the highest average age. If you don't see the realities, you cannot plan the future. I will tremendously expand the structure regarding the youth."

Aydın stated that women, youth, and the party organization are dependent on the chair, and that one person cannot manage so many things, saying, "Politics is not done by only knowing the chair and gathering around them. All my colleagues who take on duties will perform their own tasks within the scope of the duties we give them. If we see that there is a disruption in one place, that it is not moving forward, that they cannot do it, I would replace them even if it were my own son after a one-month period," he declared.

Emphasizing that they will ensure the party spreads everywhere by covering all areas in Turkey with 10 advisors he will appoint to himself, Aydın said, "When I was the organization chair, I constantly followed up, wrote letters, and sent notifications. If it wasn't working, I called the chair to Ankara to explain why it wasn't working. I paved the way for them for their shortcomings and said, 'continue.' As they saw my determination, everyone got to work," he expressed.

Stating that they are targeting 1 million members, Aydın used the following words:

"God willing, we will win this congress in the first round. The owners of this party are our supreme board delegates who will vote there. They represent 5 million 100 thousand people. There is no need to think or seek help from elsewhere. They will do what is necessary, and they will give everyone their due at the ballot box. We will all see this together on Saturday. We have captured a power above the 50 percent threshold in Istanbul, and we will increase it even further. We are above 50 percent in all places that have the status of a major city. It reached 95 percent in Izmir. There is not a single one who is not with us; we are with all of them."

Pointing out that they derive their strength from the grassroots, Aydın said, "You look down on that grassroots, you have never shaken their hand in your life, you haven't stood by their suffering, and then today you come and say, 'we will handle everything.' Don't you worry at all, we will handle them too. We will travel across all of Turkey, inch by inch."

During the program, 27th Term Erzurum MP Naci Cinisli, 27th Term Istanbul MP Hayrettin Nuhoğlu, and Coşkun Yıldırım, who are among the founding members of the İYİ Party, also spoke.
