In his announcement, Çömez stated that they had uncovered a scandal.
İYİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Turhan Çömez, in his social media post with the note 'A night of shame for the TBMM', said, "During the voting on the energy agreement with Saudi Arabia, exactly 76 fake ballots were cast by the ruling party side, which did not have enough deputies in the General Assembly hall."
In his message, Çömez stated the following:
"During the voting on the energy agreement with Saudi Arabia, exactly 76 fake ballots were cast by the ruling party side, which did not have enough deputies in the General Assembly hall.
In other words, they tried to imitate the signatures of 76 deputies who were not in the hall and cast fake votes on their behalf.
We identified them one by one, and the Parliament closed tonight before the vote could be held.
This is a betrayal of democracy and the national will. It is a pity for this beautiful country."
