İYİ Party's Gürban linked to AKP: 'When a person gets divorced, they return to their father's house'
İYİ Party Gaziantep MP Mehmet Mustafa Gürban, who is alleged to be resigning from the İYİ Party to join the AKP and about whom İYİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Buğra Kavuncu recently stated, 'He turned off his phone, we cannot reach him,' has given messages to the local Gaziantep press that will stir up political circles.
Gürban, who removed the 'İYİ Party MP' designation from his social media accounts, spoke clearly about the allegations that he would join the AKP.
“I CANNOT SUBMIT MOTIONS IN THE İYİ PARTY”
In his statement to the local Gaziantep press, İYİ Party Gaziantep MP Mehmet Mustafa Gürban claimed that Buğra Kavuncu was obstructing his work and stated that he had not been able to submit a motion for a year because other MPs would not provide their signatures.
Stating that he had also conveyed the problems he experienced within the party to İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu, Gürban signaled that he would join the AKP following the claims circulating in political circles.

“I WAS AN AK PARTY MEMBER”
Gürban stated, “I have been an AK Party Şahinbey member since 2007-2023. I left my party of 16 years to come here.”
“WHEN A PERSON GETS DIVORCED, THEY RETURN TO THEIR FATHER'S HOUSE”
Arguing that the İYİ Party's policies are insufficient, Mehmet Mustafa Gürban announced that he could rejoin the AKP with the words, “If I join the AK Party, my hand will be stronger, and I will be more solution-oriented. When a person gets divorced, they return to their father's house. I cannot go and join the HDP.”
