İYİ Party's Çömez brings Epstein allegations to Parliament: Girls were trafficked to the US
In the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) General Assembly, group deputy chairmen of political parties took the floor to make assessments regarding the agenda. İYİ Party's Turhan Çömez brought a striking allegation regarding the Epstein files currently on the agenda to Parliament.
İYİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Turhan Çömez, in his speech at Parliament, stated regarding the Jeffrey Epstein files, "There are allegations in the documents detailing this file that young girls from Turkey were trafficked to the US."
DEVA Party Group Deputy Chairman Mehmet Emin Ekmen, recalling that Keçiören Mayor Mesut Özarslan resigned from the CHP, said that similar resignations damage trust in politics. Ekmen stated that political party and election laws should be reconsidered.
Describing his visits to Mardin and Batman, Ekmen stated that citizens in the region are closely following developments in Syria.
Emphasizing that the population is aging, Ekmen said that young people are not considering marriage due to economic concerns.
İYİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Turhan Çömez made statements regarding the files of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in prison while being held on charges of establishing a sex trafficking network involving underage girls.
Çömez stated, "There are allegations in the documents detailing this file that young girls from Turkey were trafficked to the US."
Reporting that his party has submitted a parliamentary inquiry on this matter, Çömez claimed that Epstein's plane had visited Turkey during certain periods.
