İzmir-based operation against FETÖ: 15 suspects in custody
As part of an investigation conducted by the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 15 people have been detained in simultaneous operations carried out in 12 provinces targeting the FETÖ structure within the Turkish Armed Forces.
The İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terror Crimes Investigation Bureau has taken a significant step within the scope of its investigation into the FETÖ structure within the Turkish Armed Forces. Detention warrants were issued for 7 active-duty soldiers, 1 retired soldier, 1 civilian official, and 6 military academy students who were dismissed following the coup attempt.
Gendarmerie and police teams conducted simultaneous operations across 12 provinces, detaining a total of 15 suspects. It is alleged that the detained suspects are linked to FETÖ's military structure and held various positions. The processing of the suspects at the police and gendarmerie departments is ongoing.
