"An ex officio investigation has been launched by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against Ekrem İMAMOĞLU, one of the defendants in the case file numbered 2026/208 at the Istanbul 33rd High Criminal Court, for the crime of “publicly insulting public officials due to their duties” due to his statements during the hearing on 15/10/2026, which targeted the judicial members conducting the investigation that formed the basis of the public lawsuit.
