Joint operation by MIT and TSK! Terrorist Cemil Akar, perpetrator of the attack on Turkish diplomat Osman Köse, killed
It has been determined that among the terrorists neutralized in an air operation conducted by the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) and the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) in northern Iraq was PKK/KCK terrorist Cemil Akar, one of the perpetrators of the attack in Erbil that martyred diplomat Osman Köse.
Diplomat Osman Köse's attacker has been identified as having been neutralized in an air operation.

Martyred Diplomat Osman Köse
According to information obtained from security sources, MIT launched an investigation following the martyrdom of Turkish diplomat Köse at a restaurant he visited in Erbil, Iraq, where he was serving, on July 17, 2019.
An examination of security camera footage showed two attackers entering the restaurant on foot and sitting at a table near diplomat Köse's table, while a third terrorist inside the premises joined the attackers in carrying out the assault before they fled the scene rapidly.
Following the attack, a detailed frame-by-frame analysis of the security camera footage led to the identification of those who carried out the attack and those who collaborated with them.
One of the terrorists who carried out the attack was identified as Cemil Akar, codenamed "Renas Derik".
Subsequent intelligence efforts revealed that the PKK/KCK terrorist Akar had moved from Erbil to the Sulaymaniyah region and from there to Qandil.
NEUTRALIZED IN AN AIR OPERATION
Terrorist targets were successfully struck and a large number of terrorists were neutralized in an air operation conducted by MIT and the TSK in northern Iraq. Intelligence efforts determined that among the neutralized terrorists was Akar, the perpetrator of the attack in which diplomat Köse was martyred.
It was learned that terrorist Akar had crossed from Turkey into Syria illegally at the end of 2014 to join the rural cadres of the PKK/KCK terrorist organization, and later continued his activities for the organization in Makhmur, Iraq.
THE INSTIGATOR OF THE ATTACK HAD ALSO BEEN NEUTRALIZED
MIT had previously neutralized Celal Kaya, codenamed "Hasan," the instigator of the attack in which diplomat Osman Köse was martyred in Erbil, in an operation conducted in Sulaymaniyah, northern Iraq.
It was determined that Kaya, the so-called Iraq intelligence chief of the PKK terrorist organization, had long been working on gathering intelligence against TSK units operating in northern Iraq and planning terrorist attacks. With the neutralization of terrorist Kaya in an operation in the rural areas of Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, a heavy blow was dealt to the terrorist organization's intelligence network.
