Journalist Ahmet Reha Öz found dead in his home
Former journalist Ahmet Reha Öz (79), who resided in the Didim district of Aydın, was found dead in his home. It was announced that the cause of death will be determined by an autopsy.
Relatives of Ahmet Reha Öz, who lived alone at the Denizli Teachers' Site in the Mavişehir neighborhood of Didim, became concerned after not hearing from him for some time and notified the authorities. When police and medical teams entered the home with the help of a locksmith, they found Öz motionless in his bed. Upon examination by medical personnel, it was determined that Öz had passed away.
His body was sent to the morgue for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Police teams are continuing their investigation into the incident.
Ahmet Reha Öz, who served in the journalism profession for many years, worked at Cumhuriyet Newspaper between 1970 and 1985. Subsequently, he took on the responsibility of news manager at Hürriyet Newspaper from 1985 to 2000. After retiring, Öz had settled in Didim.
