Social media publisher and journalist Bircan Yıldırım had brought up the claim in a post last week that President Erdoğan and Netanyahu had reached an agreement and that 1 million Palestinians would become Turkish citizens.

The Presidential Communications Directorate's Center for Combating Disinformation denied the claim in question, and Yıldırım was detained on charges of 'publicly disseminating misleading information.'
