Journalist İsmail Arı's 4-question reaction to his arrest!
Journalist İsmail Arı, who was detained and arrested in Tokat while visiting for the holiday, sent a message to the public from Sincan Prison. Arı drew attention to the grounds for the arrest decision and posed four critical questions.
BirGün reporter İsmail Arı was detained by police teams on the night of March 21 in Tokat, where he was visiting for the holiday.
After his processing in Tokat, Arı was brought to Ankara and appeared before a judge on the evening of March 22.
In its decision to arrest journalist İsmail Arı, the court cited his news reports as the justification.
Following this decision, Arı was sent to Sincan Prison.
MESSAGE FROM SİNCAN PRISON
After his arrest, İsmail Arı sent a message to the public from prison, drawing attention to the fact that the operation was carried out on a holiday.
In his message, Arı raised the question, "Whom did my news reports disturb enough to warrant an arrest during the holiday?"

In the message he sent from prison, journalist İsmail Arı listed the following questions regarding his arrest:

"JOURNALISM IS NOT A CRIME"
It was stated that the file, which began in Tokat and resulted in an arrest in Ankara, contained only his journalistic activities.
İsmail Arı concluded his message from prison with the words, "Journalism is not a crime."
