Journalist Kemal Öztürk: The real target is not 'Kemal Öztürk', but to undermine the process for a Terror-Free Turkey and a Terror-Free Region
Journalist Kemal Öztürk, who was under investigation by the Samandağ Chief Public Prosecutor's Office due to remarks targeting the Nusayris during a television program he attended, has provided his statement.
In a statement on his social media account, Öztürk said, "I stated that I apologize to any well-intentioned Alevi or Nusayri brothers and sisters who may have misunderstood the situation, felt hurt, or had their traumas triggered due to the campaign launched by distorting my words. I vehemently rejected the allegations that I called for a massacre and left the courthouse."
Journalist Kemal Öztürk went to the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office today to provide his statement as part of the investigation conducted by the Samandağ Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
In a statement on his social media account, Öztürk said: "In my statement, I said that in my 30-year journalistic career, I have never had a single sentence advocating violence or inciting the public to hatred and enmity, and that in the speech in question, I was explaining that the Syrian state acted with common sense against those who wanted violence and conflict.
Despite this, I stated that I apologize to any well-intentioned Alevi or Nusayri brothers and sisters who may have misunderstood the situation, felt hurt, or had their traumas triggered due to the campaign launched by malicious circles distorting my words. I vehemently rejected the allegations that I called for a massacre and left the courthouse." he said.

Stating that the real target is not 'Kemal Öztürk' but to undermine the process for a Terror-Free Turkey and a Terror-Free Region, Öztürk used the following expressions: "I would like it to be known specifically that from today on, I will work with even more determination and desire to defend the process for a Strong Turkey, a terror-free Turkey, and a terror-free region."
