Journalist Mehmet Kızmaz's sister Rojvelat Kızmaz has been found dead.

The clothing of Rojvelat Kızmaz, who had been sought since Friday, February 9, had been discovered on the banks of the Hasankeyf Dam.

After journalist Mehmet Kızmaz reported that his sister Rojvelat Kızmaz had been missing since Friday, February 9, he made a new post stating that they had found his sister's clothing on the banks of the Hasankeyf Dam.

Today, as a result of the search efforts, the body of Rojvelat Kızmaz, who had been sought for days, was recovered.

Rojvelat Kızmaz's body was taken to the hospital for an autopsy. Investigations into the circumstances of her death are ongoing.

In a post on social media, her brother Mehmet Kızmaz tagged the Batman Governor's Office, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, the Batman Police Department, and Batman Governor Ekrem Canalp, stating, "On February 9, the day my sister went missing, despite us notifying the police station and the provincial police department, not a single call had been made to my family by the police until today. We searched every street and every corner of Batman ourselves for 3 days. Although we informed the police on the day my sister went missing that she might have gone to Hasankeyf, we discovered today that she was in Hasankeyf ourselves.

While the provincial police should have notified the Hasankeyf district police and the gendarmerie, we had to notify them ourselves today. Afterward, we searched Hasankeyf and the banks of the Tigris River on our own. We found my sister's clothing by the water ourselves. When we requested that a search boat be deployed, we were told that 'the captain is out of the district.' Now, after we found my sister's clothing, how quickly the search boat was suddenly put into operation," he said.
