Journalist Özlem Gürses was detained in Ankara and brought to Istanbul after statements she made on her YouTube channel, specifically "As you can see, the ISIS structure, that is, the TSK-SMO structure, has made small gains in regions where Kurds are present," were cited as the reason.

Gürses, who was referred to the Criminal Court of Peace with a request for arrest, was placed under house arrest and issued a travel ban.

Gürses, who produces the 'Para Politika' program on Sözcü TV, is hosting the program from her home this morning.
