The Justice Minister had been asked about the religious group structure in the judiciary...
A parliamentary question submitted by CHP's Gökçe Gökçen, which included the Hakyol religious group structure, remained unanswered by Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç.
Republican People's Party (CHP) İzmir Deputy Gökçe Gökçen submitted a parliamentary question to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) for Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç to answer. According to a report in Birgün, Yılmaz Tunç did not respond to the parliamentary question, which also addressed the Hakyol religious group structure within the judiciary.
In the parliamentary question submitted by CHP's Gökçen, it was stated: "The presiding judge of the Aksaray 1st High Criminal Court was removed from office and appointed to the Trabzon Enforcement Judgeship. According to allegations reflected in the press, it is claimed that this appointment was based on certain allegations and that there are inconsistencies in the documents that form the basis of these claims."
Drawing attention to the Hakyol religious group structure in the judiciary, Gökçen had directed the following questions to Minister of Justice Tunç:
• Is it true that the accusations against the presiding judge of the Aksaray 1st High Criminal Court, who broke a record in 2019 by achieving a 98 percent target duration rate in the judiciary and is known in judicial circles for their Kemalist identity, were put forward by the Hakyol sect?
• Has the technical accuracy of the claims in the reports in question, which link the judge to sequential calls, been investigated? Who prepared these reports and who approved them?
• What mechanisms are activated by the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) during changes in duty locations to verify the accuracy of allegations?
• Are allegations that any structure or group within the judicial community exerts influence over sitting judges and prosecutors being investigated?
• Despite there being such inconsistent technical reports regarding Judge Rukiye Özen Pirinççi, why did the HSK open a disciplinary investigation? Why did the administrative investigation take so long?
