Justice Minister Gürlek: Decision made to establish 140 new courts

Justice Minister Gürlek stated in a post on his social media account, "Under the leadership of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in order to deliver justice services to our citizens more effectively, efficiently, and swiftly, and to ensure specialization in the courts; it has been decided to establish a total of 140 new courts, including 1 High Criminal Court, 1 Juvenile High Criminal Court, 3 Juvenile Courts, 46 Criminal Courts of First Instance, 1 Criminal Judgeship of Peace, 4 Enforcement Judgeships, 36 Civil Courts of First Instance, 1 Civil Judgeship of Peace, 5 Commercial Courts of First Instance, 2 Family Courts, 24 Labor Courts, and 16 Consumer Courts.

With this step, we aim to ensure that trials are completed within a more reasonable timeframe and to further strengthen the effectiveness of justice services. I hope that our newly established courts will be beneficial to our citizens and our judicial organization," he said.
