Justice Minister Tunç makes statement on 'Minguzzi' arrests
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that 5 suspects who sent threatening messages to the family of Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi have been arrested, and that one additional suspect was detained in Gümüşhane and brought to Istanbul.
In a post on his social media account, Minister of Justice Tunç stated:
"Within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the threatening of the family of our child Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who lost his life as a result of a knife attack in Kadıköy, Istanbul, 1 suspect and 4 children driven to crime have been arrested by the Bakırköy Criminal Court of Peace.
Within the scope of the investigation, 1 child driven to crime was detained in Gümüşhane and has been sent to Istanbul.
I once again wish God's mercy upon our child who lost his life, and offer my condolences to his grieving family and loved ones"
