Message from Justice Minister Tunç to activists: Welcome, brave hearts
Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç stated, "Welcome, brave hearts. I extend my best wishes to our citizens and activists from various countries on the Global Sumud Flotilla who have arrived in Istanbul after being attacked and detained by the occupying Israel in international waters."
In a post on his social media account, Minister Tunç said, "Welcome, brave hearts. I extend my best wishes to our citizens and activists from various countries on the Global Sumud Flotilla who have arrived in Istanbul after being attacked and detained by the occupying Israel in international waters.
Following an attack in which international law was disregarded, our activist brothers and sisters who have reached our country will undergo health examinations at the Istanbul Council of Forensic Medicine upon their request, and their physical and psychological conditions will be meticulously checked," he stated.
Stating that the activists will be interviewed for informational purposes following the forensic medical examination, Minister Tunç said, "Following the forensic medical check, our 11 public prosecutors will take the statements of the activists for informational purposes, accompanied by their lawyers and interpreters.
These brave hearts, who do not remain silent in the face of oppression and stand by the Palestinian people, are not just activists; they are true heroes who carry the conscience of humanity and are the voice of justice.
The unlawful intervention carried out by Israel, which is committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza, in international waters is an attack on truth, solidarity, and peace. It should be known that no pressure or bullying will be able to silence the consciences that stand against oppression," he said.
