New detail from Justice Minister Tunç on the 'Narin investigation': 'A technical study is being conducted'

Tunç stated, "All evidence will be effectively evaluated by our public prosecutors, and an indictment will eventually be prepared. The killers of our child Narin will be brought before the court and sentenced to the heaviest penalty under the Turkish Penal Code."

Responding to a question regarding the Narin Güran murder, Tunç said:

"The investigation into our child Narin is ongoing. Our daughter Narin went missing on August 21, and her lifeless body was found 19 days later. Hundreds of people mobilized to find her safe and sound, but unfortunately, we were faced with a painful event. We can say that the judicial investigation into those who brutally murdered our child Narin has been continuing effectively since the beginning. Here, the investigation is confidential, and many matters may not be reflected to the public, and indeed they have not been. Statements are being reflected to the public because statements are not under the scope of confidentiality. In the meantime, of course, everyone continues to make guesses based on these statements in media organizations. In this sense, let us also say that the confidentiality of the investigation is essential, and one should not affect the confidentiality and integrity of this investigation. We all need to act responsibly in this regard.

"CAMERAS PLACED IN SOME HOUSES WERE DETECTED"

There are forensic reports that have been identified, and there are DNA test findings. Both the findings obtained from our daughter Narin and the DNA obtained from the identified vehicles with license plates have been subjected to criminal examination. Both in Van, in Diyarbakır, and at the Istanbul Council of Forensic Medicine...

All of these findings are present in the file. HTS records, who is talking to whom retrospectively, and cell tower overlaps, who met with whom, where, and at what time, all these cell tower overlaps, and narrowed cell tower overlaps are being performed recently.

There are cameras that were detected later, and these cameras were collected. Cameras placed in some houses were detected, and these were subjected to TÜBİTAK examination. Because it is necessary to perform audio and video analysis there. A technical study is being conducted regarding the clarification of those muffled sounds, especially the conversations.

"THERE ARE 28 SUSPECTS, 12 ARE IN PRISON"

All of these, the statements, there are 28 suspects, 12 of whom are in prison. Therefore, both their statements, subsequent contradictory statements, and subsequent re-statements are being taken.

All of these will be evaluated. All evidence will be effectively evaluated by our public prosecutors, an indictment will eventually be prepared, and the killers of our child Narin will be brought before the court and sentenced to the heaviest penalty under the Turkish Penal Code.

Let our nation have no doubt about this. The investigation is continuing effectively. A publication ban was even imposed for a while.

There were some criticisms about this, such as 'what is being hidden'. The publication ban has also been lifted, but its lifting does not mean that one should avoid things that would lead the investigation in the wrong direction with inappropriate statements. We thank the press for their sensitivity on this matter in advance."
