Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the attacks on the Turkish flag featured in footage shared on social media platforms.
In a post on his X social media account, Justice Minister Tunç stated, “An ex officio investigation has been launched by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the attacks on our Turkish flag seen in footage published on social media platforms, under the charge of ‘Insulting the Sovereignty Symbols of the State’ as regulated in Article 300/1 of the Turkish Penal Code.
The disrespect and ugly attacks directed at our glorious Turkish flag, which takes its color from the blood of our dear martyrs, can never be accepted” he said.
