Keçiören Mayor Özarslan's 'Does your father take bribes?' question answered by the father: 'They edited the video'

Keçiören Mayor Mesut Özarslan faced significant backlash after a video showed him asking a young child, "Does your father take bribes?" Özarslan stated that he respects the criticism received, but argued that the video was misunderstood and published out of context. He also criticized some journalists who commented on the video, suggesting they should not share content without learning the truth.

THE VIDEO WAS EDITED

The young child's father, addressing the renowned journalist Uğur Dündar who shared the video, stated that the footage in question had been edited, creating a false impression. The father said that Özarslan treated his child like a father or grandfather, listened to their concerns, and had no ill intentions. Emphasizing that both he and Mayor Özarslan were being treated unfairly, the father urged that the full video be shared.

CALL TO UĞUR DÜNDAR

The father stated that editing the video was an injustice to both them and Özarslan, and called on Uğur Dündar to share the complete version of the video.
