Kemal Okuyan: Ukraine and Israel are doing everything to expand the war

Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) General Secretary Kemal Okuyan has pointed out that the imperialist aggression escalating in our region, accompanied by a series of developments in the international arena, has reached a dangerous threshold. 

In his assessments made on the social media platform X, Okuyan stated that the simultaneous visits of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Zelensky to the US and their meetings with Trump are a critical part of the attempts to merge the wars in Iran and Ukraine. 

Okuyan stated that Ukraine hitting an Iranian ship in the Caspian Sea cannot be considered a simple matter, yet despite the region being of vital importance for Azerbaijan, both Baku and Ankara have remained silent.

Pointing out that Ukraine does not have the capability to plan and execute such an operation on its own, which European leaders have supported, Okuyan said, "Two non-NATO member NATO-allied countries, Ukraine and Israel, are doing everything to expand the war by merging the Ukraine-Iran front. The foundations for this were laid at the last NATO summit held in Ankara." Contrary to comments downplaying the summit, he reminded that the meeting had been focused on "armament and war" from the very beginning and that they had stood against it.

Emphasizing that the intertwining of the Ukraine War and the attacks on Iran will transform the scale and character of the war, TKP General Secretary Kemal Okuyan noted that the talks between Turkey and Iraq, the military activity in the Black Sea, and the "opening" discussions should be evaluated in this direction.

Stating that Turkey is located at the exact connection point of these two major conflict zones, Kemal Okuyan called for increasing the struggle against imperialism, saying, "Increasing vigilance against imperialist plans and imperialist war must be one of the most important tasks today."

"Netanyahu and Zelensky going to the US at the same time and meeting with Trump is extremely important in terms of the attempts to merge the Iran and Ukraine wars. Ukraine hitting an Iranian ship in the Caspian is not a simple matter.

Although the Caspian Sea is vital for Azerbaijan, there is no sound from Baku. Ankara is also silent. Most European leaders are openly smiling. In any case, Ukraine does not have the ability to make the decision to hit a ship in the Caspian and put it into practice on its own.

Two non-NATO member NATO-allied countries, Ukraine and Israel, are doing everything to expand the war by merging the Ukraine-Iran front. The foundations for this were laid at the last NATO summit held in Ankara. Some had commented that 'the mountain labored and brought forth a mouse.' We do not know what their expectations were, but we have said from the beginning that the NATO summit would give birth to 'armament and war,' and we stood against the summit as much as we could.

The intertwining of the Ukraine War and the attacks on Iran means a major transformation in the scale and character of the war. It is necessary to evaluate the talks held between Turkey and Iraq in recent weeks, the developments in the Black Sea, and the 'opening' with this perspective.
