WHO IS MEHMET ÖZCAN?
He was born in 1956 in Seydiköy, Keşan. He completed his primary education in Seydiköy, his secondary education at Keşan Cumhuriyet Secondary School, and his high school education at Edirne High School.
After studying for a period in the Public Administration Department at Middle East Technical University (METU), he continued his studies at the Edirne Faculty of Medicine, which was part of Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. Following his graduation, he completed his residency in General Surgery at Taksim Hospital. From 1991 until the end of December 2003, he served the people of Keşan as a General Surgeon at Keşan State Hospital. He resigned from this position to become a mayoral candidate.
