‘Kılıçdaroğlu’ debate between Armağan Çağlayan and Ali Mahir Başarır

CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır spoke today at the ordinary congress of the CHP Malatya Provincial Organization, held at the Congress and Culture Center.

In his speech, Başarır stated, “I will not allow anyone to show disrespect to Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu on television, at congresses, on the street, or in provincial organizations. This party has a tradition of democracy.” Armağan Çağlayan responded to Başarır's words via a post on X.

Tagging Başarır, Çağlayan said, “In a party with a tradition of democracy, the only thing missing is a tradition of resignation:))) Bravo, what a nice tradition! A democracy tradition, if you buy it!”

Responding to Çağlayan, Başarır wrote, “Mr. Armağan, I am talking about courtesy and respect; yes to every criticism, but no one should insult our chairman or our chairman candidates.”

Following Başarır's reply, Çağlayan responded, “Well, what about the courtesy owed to the voters, Mr. Ali Mahir? Doesn't the voter deserve the same courtesy that the Chairman deserves?” To Çağlayan's question, Başarır said, “They absolutely do, and believe me, Armağan Çağlayan, I welcome all criticism with respect.”

Upon this reply, Çağlayan wrote, “Well, thank you very much, Mr. Ali Mahir. Best regards.”
