Kılıçdaroğlu files criminal complaint over journalist Şaban Sevinç's allegations: Defamation and slander
Atakan Sönmez, Press Advisor to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was appointed to the CHP administration by a court's absolute nullity decision, has issued a statement regarding the allegations brought up by journalist Şaban Sevinç about Kılıçdaroğlu.
Kılıçdaroğlu's Press Advisor Atakan Sönmez announced that a criminal complaint has been filed against journalist Şaban Sevinç and a compensation lawsuit has been initiated.
In a statement on his social media account, Sönmez argued that Sevinç's claim regarding the Mayors' Meeting held in Konya in 2017 is completely untrue.
The statement claimed that the allegation that Kılıçdaroğlu instructed CHP mayors to "finance channels close to us" by depositing money into the account of a deputy chairman's advisor is baseless.
Sönmez reported that Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyers have filed a criminal complaint against Şaban Sevinç on charges of "publicly disseminating misleading information," "defamation," and "slander."
It was also announced that a compensation lawsuit has been filed against Sevinç.
