Kılıçdaroğlu's notable preparation for CHP municipalities: A commission to be established within the party

It has been claimed that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was brought to the position of chairman following the absolute nullity decision regarding the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress, is preparing to take a new step regarding corruption investigations against the party and operations conducted against municipalities. Following Kılıçdaroğlu's previous statement that mayors needed to "cleanse" themselves, it is alleged that a comprehensive audit mechanism will be established within the party.

ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMISSION WITHIN THE PARTY ON THE AGENDA

According to the report by the pro-government newspaper Türkiye, a commission is planned to be established within the CHP Headquarters in the coming days. It is stated that the commission in question will examine the allegations against the party and the processes related to the municipalities, and will present the reports it prepares directly to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

According to the allegations, if any non-compliance is detected during the examinations, disciplinary mechanisms will also be activated.

"WE WILL INVESTIGATE THE ALLEGATIONS"

In the evaluations of the Headquarters staff regarding the issue, it was stated that an approach different from the defense methods followed in the past would be adopted.

The staff said, “Instead of denying, we will audit them one by one. Instead of saying ‘the indictment is empty’ and moving on as before, we will investigate the allegations. Saying ‘it is empty’ in 10 minutes for a 1,000-page indictment is not a credible method. We will explain to the public what the truth is regarding the alleged accusations. Thanks to the audits, we will identify the processes before they turn into investigations and lawsuits and take precautions.”

DISCIPLINARY PROCESS MAY ALSO BE ACTIVATED

According to information reflected in the lobbies, in line with the reports to be prepared by the commission expected to be established, the disciplinary process will be activated within the party in cases deemed necessary. Thus, it is aimed to evaluate the allegations that are the subject of investigations through party mechanisms before they turn into a judicial process.
