Kılıçdaroğlu shares 'Glad you existed, you will always exist' post
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu shared a post on his social media account regarding the 'Super Cup' match, which was planned to be played in Saudi Arabia but was canceled due to the disrespect shown toward Atatürk.
Hours before the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe derby in Riyadh, the refusal to allow banners featuring Atatürk's quote "Peace at home, peace in the world," as well as Atatürk posters and t-shirts, created a crisis. After the crisis could not be resolved, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray decided not to take the field, and the 'Super Cup' was canceled.
Numerous comments were made regarding the cancellation decision taken by the teams.
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu also shared a post on his social media account regarding the cancellation decision. Sharing a photo of Atatürk, Kılıçdaroğlu wrote, "Glad you existed, you will always exist!"

Before this post, Kılıçdaroğlu had written the following regarding the tension that occurred:
Beyond the shame of playing the Super Cup Final, in which our country's teams are competing, in Saudi Arabia during the 100th anniversary of our Republic; it is absolutely unacceptable that banners containing the words of our Republic's founder, the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, were not allowed into the stands. This insolence cannot even be a subject of debate! I have full faith that both of our distinguished clubs will do what is necessary in the face of this situation they have been subjected to.
It should not be forgotten that the Palace entourage and so-called nationalists, who were instrumental in this disgrace occurring and our national pride being basely harassed, are the true culprits of this shame.
