King Charles III of the United Kingdom celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye
King Charles III of the United Kingdom celebrated the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye in a letter written to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
In a letter addressed to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, King Charles III of the United Kingdom stated, "On this special day, which marks the centenary of your country's founding, I offer my sincerest congratulations to Your Excellency and the people of the Republic of Türkiye."
Noting that he fondly remembers the hospitality he encountered during his visit to Türkiye in 2015, King Charles shared the following assessment: "I would also like to express my deep admiration for the resilience shown by the people of Türkiye in their ongoing reconstruction efforts following the devastating earthquakes that occurred in February of this year."
In his letter, in which he expressed his wish for the continuation of the partnership and friendship between the United Kingdom and Türkiye, King Charles noted the following:
"I am confident that this positive relationship will continue to grow even stronger. As you and Turks living all over the world celebrate Türkiye's centenary, my wife and I send you our best wishes."
