Knife attack at a high school in Aksaray
A high school student in Aksaray was injured with a knife after an argument in the classroom escalated into a fight. The injured student was taken to the hospital, and the attacker was taken into custody.
In an incident at the Şehit Yavuz Çoban Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in the Ereğlikapı neighborhood of Aksaray, 11th-grade student Tolunay K. (16) was stabbed and injured by his classmate.
The incident occurred around 12:00 PM. According to allegations, an argument broke out between Tolunay K. and a classmate identified only as Ömer for reasons yet unknown.
When the argument quickly escalated into a fight, Ömer first assaulted Tolunay K. and then stabbed him in the left leg.
TAKEN TO HOSPITAL, SUSPECT IN CUSTODY
Following the attack, medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured student was taken to the Aksaray Training and Research Hospital by ambulance after receiving initial treatment. It was learned that the injured student is in good condition.
Police teams took the attacker, Ömer, into custody. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
