Knife attack on CHP mayoral candidate

CHP Kayseri Yeşilhisar mayoral candidate, lawyer Deniz Onaç, was reportedly subjected to a knife attack by individuals wearing ski masks. The incident took place on the Yeşilhisar-Ürgüp road.

While driving his vehicle, Onaç allegedly picked up the individuals in ski masks after they claimed their vehicle had broken down on the road. However, after traveling approximately 10 kilometers, he was attacked by these individuals for reasons yet unknown. During the struggle, Onaç was wounded in the hand with a knife and briefly lost consciousness due to the blow he received.

Upon realizing the situation, Onaç called the 112 emergency call center and his father to ask for help. After medical teams arrived at the scene and provided initial treatment, Onaç was taken to the hospital for further care. Police teams have launched an investigation into the attack experienced by Onaç, who was discharged following his treatment.

A detailed investigation into the incident and efforts to apprehend the suspects are ongoing.
