Kocaeli footage sparked outrage: 3 people who dragged and beat a veterinarian by his hair released
In the Çayırova district of Kocaeli, 3 people who assaulted Veterinarian Ali Özen were released after giving their statements. The footage caused a backlash on social media, with citizens tagging the General Directorate of Security under the videos.
A citizen who came to a veterinary clinic in the Çayırova district gave 400 TL for a fee of 245 TL.
Veterinarian Ali Özen took 200 TL and said there was no change in the register. When the customer offered to send the 45 TL via IBAN, the veterinarian asked him to show a receipt and said he would issue a cash slip. The customer, who first agreed to show the receipt but then caused a problem, insulted the veterinarian and left the clinic. A while later, the customer returned to the clinic with 2 other people, assaulted the veterinarian, and dragged him on the floor. While Ali Özen's nose and lip were burst, the moment of the assault was reflected on the security camera moment by moment.
THEY WERE RELEASED
Following Ali Özen's complaint, Kocaeli Police Department teams detained three people involved in the assault, identified as C.S., T.Ş., and A.S. The individuals were released after their statements were taken.
