Decision from Kocaeli Mufti's Office for November 10
The Kocaeli Mufti's Office has announced that a Mevlid-i Şerif will be recited in all mosques across the city on November 10, 2025, in memory of the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, martyrs, and veterans who have passed away.
The Kocaeli Mufti's Office has made a significant decision to mark the 87th anniversary of the passing of the founder of the Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. In a statement issued by the Mufti's Office, it was announced that a Mevlid-i Şerif will be recited in all mosques throughout Kocaeli on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 12:30 PM, in honor of Atatürk, the martyrs, and the veterans who have passed away.
OFFICIAL DIRECTIVE SENT TO DISTRICT MUFTI OFFICES
In an official letter bearing the signature of Kocaeli Provincial Mufti Mehmet Sönmezoğlu, instructions regarding the matter were sent to the district mufti offices. The letter stated, "I request your information and necessary action regarding the recitation of the Mevlid-i Şerif in all our mosques on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 12:30 PM." Thus, a simultaneous commemoration program has been planned across the city.
PRAYERS WILL BE OFFERED FOR ATATÜRK AND THE MARTYRS
As part of the program, Quran recitations will be held and prayers will be offered in mosques across all districts of Kocaeli. During the Mevlid-i Şerif, the founder of the Republic, the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, as well as the martyrs who lost their lives in the defense of the homeland and the veterans who have passed away, will be commemorated.
