In his statement, Peskov recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously stated that Biden was a preferable candidate for Russia as a predictable one, and used the following expressions: "There are still 4 months until the elections, and that is a long period during which many things can change. One needs to be patient and carefully watch what happens next. Our priority is to achieve the goals of the special military operation."
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zakharova, in her statement regarding Biden's withdrawal from the race, said the following:
"The next step to be taken after Biden announced his withdrawal from the election race in writing should be an investigation into the collusion of the US media and political circles, who hid the facts about Biden's mental state by manipulating public opinion and taking sides with a political party."
