Kula Mayor Hikmet Dönmez's driver and bodyguard released
Kula Mayor Hikmet Dönmez, his driver Mustafa Onur Aksoy, and his bodyguard Rıza Gidiş, who were arrested following a scuffle at the Kula Municipality, have been released.
It has been decided to release Kula Mayor Hikmet Dönmez, his driver Mustafa Onur Aksoy, and his bodyguard Rıza Gidiş, who were arrested following a scuffle with a stone-quarrying company in the Kula district of Manisa on June 27.
Mayor Dönmez was initially released to be tried without arrest on Monday, July 29, while the detention of the bodyguard and the driver had continued.
However, within the scope of the ongoing investigation, driver Mustafa Onur Aksoy and bodyguard Rıza Gidiş have also been released to be tried without arrest.
There are no individuals from either side remaining in custody regarding the scuffle. Following the release decision, there was great joy in Kula. The families and loved ones of Kula Mayor Hikmet Dönmez, driver Mustafa Onur Aksoy, and bodyguard Rıza Gidiş welcomed them as they were released in front of the Salihli Prison.
