The Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) has announced that a comprehensive data breach has been detected at the Köfteci Yusuf restaurant chain, which has branches across Turkey. In an official statement released by the authority, it was stated that unauthorized access was gained to the company's information systems, leading to the exposure of personal data belonging to customers and employees.
The KVKK reported that an investigation process has been initiated following the incident and that individuals affected by the data security breach must be notified. It was stated that efforts to determine the scope of the breach are ongoing.
LEAKED CUSTOMER INFORMATION
According to the statement, data such as customers' names and surnames, addresses, phone numbers, and order records were leaked as a result of the unauthorized access. The authority drew attention to the importance of taking the necessary administrative and technical measures to protect this information.
EMPLOYEE DATA ALSO AFFECTED
It was noted that information contained in the identity, contact, and personnel files of approximately 13,000 employees was also exposed as part of the breach. The KVKK reported that legal and administrative evaluations regarding the process are continuing.
