Landslide in Tokat: D-100 highway closed to traffic
The Sivas-Tokat direction of the D-100 highway has been closed to traffic due to a landslide that occurred near Irmak village in the Reşadiye district of Tokat. Soil that turned into mud due to rainfall covered the road, causing difficult moments for drivers. While there were no casualties or injuries, heavy machinery was dispatched to the area.
Around 14:30, the Sivas-Tokat direction of the D-100 highway was closed to traffic after mud suddenly flowed onto the road near Irmak village in the Reşadiye district.
Drivers experienced difficult moments on the road, where soil masses breaking off from the mountain turned into mud due to the rain.

NO CASUALTIES OR INJURIES
There were no casualties or injuries during the landslide, and long queues of vehicles formed on the road. Upon notification, gendarmerie and heavy machinery were dispatched to the scene.

Work has been initiated to reopen the road.
