Landslide on the Artvin-Rize road: Long vehicle queues formed!
A landslide occurred in the Arhavi district of Artvin. Transportation on the Rize-Artvin road was halted due to the landslide, leading to long queues of vehicles.
The incident occurred at the entrance to the Arhavi district in the evening hours.
According to the information obtained, rock fragments and soil, which broke loose due to the loosening of the ground following rainfall, covered a section of the Rize-Artvin highway.
Immediately after the incident, Arhavi Municipality and General Directorate of Highways teams were dispatched to the region and began work to reopen the road to traffic.

While vehicles had to wait on the road for a long time due to the landslide, traffic congestion increased in the area.
The highway was reopened to traffic after the teams, who had taken security measures, cleared the piles of rock and soil.
