Last-minute move from Mansur Yavaş: He has taken action regarding the investigation permit issued against him

Yavaş has filed an objection to the investigation requested by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding "concert" expenditures, for which the Ministry of Interior has granted permission.

It has been learned that Mansur Yavaş submitted his petition objecting to the investigation permit to the Ministry of Interior to be forwarded to the Council of State.

'SOUP' INVESTIGATION HAD ALSO BEEN LAUNCHED

Meanwhile, within the scope of the ongoing investigation, the free soup service provided to citizens at 13 different locations in Ankara was also included in the investigation against Yavaş.

It was stated that the free soup distributed in 13 different regions, particularly in front of hospitals and near universities, had become a subject of the investigation.

It was also stated that an inquiry had been launched against Mansur Yavaş on the allegation that he assigned municipal personnel to the rallies in Çankırı and Karabük.

YAVAŞ HAD REACTED TO 'DOUBLE STANDARDS'

Making a statement on the matter, Mansur Yavaş had stated that he would use his legal rights and file an objection with the Council of State as soon as possible.

Yavaş had said the following:

"While decisions have been made in dozens of complaints regarding the past period that a mayor cannot be held responsible for the work done by units, the implementation of the exact opposite today is a clear double standard. It is impossible to accept this understanding of justice that operates differently for everyone. We have full faith that justice will prevail sooner or later and that this decision will be overturned by the judiciary. Let it not be forgotten; everyone will need the law one day. Furthermore, we will use our legal right and appeal to the Council of State as soon as possible."
