Latest US election poll released: What is the point gap between Trump and Harris?

As the countdown continues for the presidential election to be held in the US on November 5, a joint poll conducted by The New York Times (NYT) and Siena College has revealed that the race remains neck-and-neck.

In the report published by the NYT, it was noted that while Democratic candidate Harris received the support of 49 percent of those surveyed, Republican candidate Trump found support at the 46 percent level.

Stating that the poll in question was conducted nationwide between September 29 and October 6, the NYT emphasized that for the first time, Harris has emerged ahead of Trump compared to previous polls.

Recalling that the last NYT-Siena poll was conducted in mid-September and that both rivals were tied at 47 percent in that survey, the newspaper stated that Harris moving ahead of Trump, even if by small steps, means that she is finding more resonance with voters day by day.

The 60th presidential election in the US will be held on Tuesday, November 5.
