Lawyer Hüseyin Ersöz comments: 'The cancellation of İmamoğlu's undergraduate diploma is an unlawful administrative act'

Lawyer Hüseyin Ersöz commented on the cancellation of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu's undergraduate diploma following an investigation launched against him. 

Ersöz stated, "The 'cancellation of the undergraduate diploma' of IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu is an unlawful administrative act that would be overturned by an independent judiciary in a state governed by the rule of law." 

Sharing on his social media account, Ersöz expressed the following:

"The 'cancellation of the undergraduate diploma' of IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu (@ekrem_imamoglu) is an unlawful administrative act that would be overturned by an independent judiciary in a state governed by the rule of law.

We know and believe that there are honorable judges in this country who will correct this decision, which is 'contrary to the principle of parallelism in procedure,' both in terms of the 'Right to Respect for Private Life' and 'Legal Certainty.' #LegalCertainty #RuleOfLaw"
