Leaders' Eid al-Fitr schedules announced
As Turkey prepares to welcome Eid al-Fitr, the holiday schedules for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş, and the leaders of political parties have been announced.
President Erdoğan has no official program during the holiday. Erdoğan will spend Eid al-Fitr with his family outside of Ankara.
Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş will be in Istanbul for the holiday.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel will spend the holiday with his family in his hometown of Manisa.
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli will be in Ankara throughout the holiday.
İYİ Party Chairwoman Meral Akşener will spend the holiday in Ankara, while Yeniden Refah Party Chairman Fatih Erbakan will spend it in Istanbul.
DEM Party Co-Chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları will be in Adana for the holiday, while Tuncer Bakırhan will be in Ankara.
BBP Chairman Mustafa Destici will spend the first day of the holiday in his hometown of Günyüzü, Eskişehir; on the second day, he will visit the grave of the party's founding chairman, Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu, and meet with party members at the headquarters for the holiday celebration.
Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu will welcome the holiday in Ankara. Karamollaoğlu will meet with party members at the headquarters on the third day of the holiday, Friday, April 12, to celebrate.
DSP Chairman Önder Aksakal will spend the holiday in İzmir, and Democrat Party Chairman Gültekin Uysal will spend it in his hometown of Afyonkarahisar.
Memleket Party Chairman Muharrem İnce will also be in his hometown of Elmacık village, Yalova, for the holiday.
Gelecek Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu is expected to spend the holiday in Istanbul, while DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan is expected to welcome the holiday with his family in Ankara.
HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu will spend the first day of the holiday in Ankara and the following days in Diyarbakır and Batman.
