Legal action initiated against 1,089 illegal internet addresses
During virtual patrol activities conducted by the Ankara Provincial Gendarmerie Command, legal action was initiated against 1,089 websites determined to be illegal.
In a statement released by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, it was stated that 1,475 social media and URL addresses were examined between September 1 and 30.
Within this scope, legal action was initiated against 919 websites facilitating illegal betting, 160 websites determined to be sharing obscene content, and 10 websites identified as engaging in phishing fraud.
Furthermore, as part of efforts to solve unsolved cyber incidents, 12 qualified fraud crimes were resolved.
Judicial proceedings have been initiated against 18 individuals involved in the aforementioned crimes.
