Levent Göktaş, at the center of corruption allegations within the CHP, speaks to 12punto:

Following the removal and trial of CHPmember and former Menemen Mayor Serdar Aksoyon corruption charges, his accounts regarding his former party's Tuncay Özkan -centered “network of relations” is being discussed.

At the center of the allegations, Tuncay Özkan, Serdar Aksoystated that he was lying and slandering, while the CHP also Aksoy filed a criminal complaint against several individuals.

Another notable name was involved in the same allegations; however, although the debates have been ongoing for days, no one asked him anything.

This name was the retired colonel and lawyer who spent 5 years in prison during the Ergenekon conspiracy, and last year Assoc. Prof. Dr. Necip Hablemitoğluwas arrested on charges of organizing the assassination carried out in 2002, and was released after spending 5 months in prison, retired colonel and lawyer Levent Göktaş.

According to what former Menemen Mayor Serdar Aksoyrecounted, when he met withLevent Göktaş, Göktaşsaid, “Tuncay will make certain requests of you, and you will take care of them.” Furthermore, a CHP Member of Parliament, that "once they come to power tomorrow, Kılıçdaroğlu will appoint Göktaş as the Undersecretary of the MİT" he said.

Here are our questions regarding these allegations and Levent Göktaş's answers:

WHY DOES GÖKTAŞ APPEAR UNDER EVERY ROCK?

Question: Do you know Serdar Aksoy, have you met with him?

Göktaş: Serdar Aksoy Everything said by the individual in question consists entirely of lies and slander. Specifically, since the day I opened our law office on the 18th floor of the Koç Towers on April 1, 2017, until today, including Yapı Kredi Bank and İller Bank, not a single member of the board of directors of any bank has ever come to our office, even for a visit. This matter can be verified by the Koç Towers management. Furthermore, I did not know the chairman or any member of the board of directors of any bank. Everyone who has come or visited knows that, contrary to what the individual claims, there is no fingerprint device at the entrance of our office, nor is there a camera system inside or outside the office. Likewise, we have no security personnel of our own.

I am a person protected by a close protection order issued by my state. Despite this being the case and the protection order stating "Upon request, two police officers or security detail are assigned." Despite this, I never requested or received any protection. The lawyers and clerks I work with, other staff, the clients I represent, and even the individuals who conducted the search and seizure operation at our office during the Hablemitoğlu case, Prosecutor Zafer Ergün and the police officers who supervised the search with him, are witnesses to this. Yapı Kredi and İller Bank can be asked, including all other banks; throughout my life, I have never acted as an intermediary to obtain a loan from any municipality, individual, company, or any bank, including the companies I represent, and I never will. Serdar Aksoy I do not know this person at all, I am not acquainted with him, and he is not saved in my phone contacts. I have not had a single phone conversation with him. The accuracy of these words can be verified through the HTS records of the phones I used between 2002 and 2020, which are present in the Hablemitoğlu assassination case file.

Question: So, where did these allegations come from?

Göktaş: As far as I have learned from the research I conducted following these false reports, this individual, along with his advisor and friend Hasan Ünal , visited two businesspeople who had an office at the Koç Towersabout 6 months before the local elections held on March 31, 2019, that is, around September-October 2018, and from these people CHP Menemen Mayor
