After İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, whose university diploma was cancelled yesterday, was detained this morning on charges of "aiding the PKK/KCK terrorist organization," reactions from politicians poured in one after another. Famous figures have also begun to express their reactions to the incident.
'NEVER FORGET THOSE WHO MADE YOU LIVE THROUGH THIS'
Theater and film actor Levent Üzümcü, who had previously reacted to the cancellation of Ekrem İmamoğlu's diploma by saying, "Maybe you are in university, maybe in high school... your mind cannot grasp it, your nerves are frayed, you are trying to hold onto your hope and your dreams... well, never forget this feeling and those who made you live through it, my dear. If you forget, they will remind you of themselves, I warn you," did not remain indifferent to İmamoğlu's detention.
In a post on his social media account X, Levent Üzümcü reacted to the 4-day protest ban imposed in Istanbul by saying, "Democracy is such a beautiful thing, isn't it?"
