Mahir Polat's lawyer Erdem: 'His life is still in danger'
Erkam Erdem, the lawyer for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat, who was arrested and sent to prison, has made a new statement regarding his health problems. Erdem stated, "His life is still in danger."
A new statement has come from Erkam Erdem, the lawyer for IBB Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat, who continues to be tried while in custody despite numerous health problems.
Sharing Mahir Polat's blood pressure readings and stating that his life remains in danger, Erdem said, "There is not a single reading where his blood pressure is normal. Many of them are of a nature that would require him to be hospitalized again."
In a post on his X account, lawyer Erdem noted the following:
'HIS LIFE IS STILL IN DANGER'
"I had stated that Mahir Polat's hypertension continued after he was discharged from the hospital with additional medication. I am sharing his readings here. There is not a single reading where his blood pressure is normal. Many of them are of a nature that would require him to be hospitalized again.
I am reporting his condition without exaggeration and in full: his life is still in danger, and prison conditions are continuously harming his health."
