Saadet Party leader Mahmut Arıkan's statement regarding his presidential candidate during a live broadcast on NOW TV has stirred political circles.
Arıkan, who argued that their candidate would embrace not just a certain segment but all of Turkey, said, "We have such a presidential candidate that when their name is heard, 86 million people will say 'oh, finally!'. We have agreed on a name who has resonance in every segment of society and who will establish justice and peace."
When asked for the candidate's name, Arıkan replied, "Let's keep it secret for now so that the population in Silivri doesn't increase further."
