CHP Şanlıurfa MP and lawyer Mahmut Tanal has demanded that a series of steps be taken to allow university students currently in prison to participate in their upcoming midterm exams. Emphasizing that the educational rights of these students cannot be postponed, Tanal stated that an urgent petition process must be initiated.

According to the process proposed by MP Tanal, students should write a petition to their universities requesting the right to take make-up exams. Petitions with wet signatures can be delivered to the faculties by first-degree relatives or lawyers, even without a power of attorney. Tanal also expressed that requests could be made for exams to be held within the prison or for students to be taken to their schools under security measures.
