In the murder of former Ülkü Ocakları President Sinan Ateş, it has been stated that Olcay Kılavuz, a former MHP Mersin MP and advisor to MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, is also among the suspects.
Sözcü columnist İsmail Saymaz noted that action was taken following a complaint by Sinan Ateş's wife, Ayşe Ateş, and that the file was forwarded to the parliamentary investigation bureau on the grounds that Kılavuz was a member of parliament at the time of the incident. It is not yet known whether a summary of proceedings (fezleke) has been prepared regarding Kılavuz.
Tolgahan Demirbaş, a former Ülkü Ocakları executive and a suspect in the Sinan Ateş murder, was detained at Olcay Kılavuz's home.
